Based in the United States, Dr. Anil Potti is a well-respected physician who has been honored many times for his significant contribution to the arena of lung cancer research. He is board certified in Medical Oncology and has worked as a faculty member in the Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Clinic at Duke University, Durham, NC, and previously in Internal Medicine at UND/VAMC, Fargo. Before receiving his Bachelor’s degree in the Medicine & Surgery, he chose Chemistry, Physics and Biology as majors at the LFJ College, Hyderabad, India.
Dr. Anil Potti is known as a compassionate and friendly physician who is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients. Due to his dedication and teaching efforts, he has received several awards such as the Alpha Omega Alpha, Outstanding Teacher of the Year award from medical students, Lisa Stafford Clinical Research Prize, Robert Silber Research Prize, Leonard B. Tow Humanism in Medicine Award and more. Dr. Anil Potti has also made contributions in various cancer research publications such as Age- and-Sex specific genomic profiles in non-small cell lung cancer; Gene expression profiles of tumor biology provide a novel approach to prognosis and may guide the selection of therapeutic targets in multiple myeloma; and a genomic approach to colon cancer risk stratification yields biological insights into therapeutic opportunities. To date, he has over 100 publications to his credit, and has been a speaker at several international and national scientific meetings. He is actively associated with a number of respectable organizations such as Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, American Association of Cancer Research and American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Anil Potti also participates in several volunteering activities, and donates a considerable amount of money to the local church and local school system.
